Is Bartending a Lucrative Career Choice?

Author: admin - Categories: Other - Tags:

Before learning how to become a bartender you should effectively assess the standard pay range of the average bartender and the maximum amount of money a bartender can make, if the amount of money a bartender will make is a influencing factor in your choice of whether or not u want to become a bartender. If this is the case you will be required to do a mini research to find out how lucrative the bartending industry is and how best it will assist you in achieving your goals.

However if you are planning to solely enter the field of bartending simply because you think they make alot of money, please don’t. Bartending requires skills, dedication and patience. If you are not willing to go the extra mile you will quickly start resenting the job and this may reflect in the way you handle the customers on a daily basis. This will eventually result in a decrease in sales and this is not a good thing.

More Wineries, and More Variety in Argentina

In the 10 past years the selection of wine in Buenos Aires has grown exponentially with the way wine culture is flourishing in Argentina.Today, you can find many bars and restaurants in Palermo which are wine-focused in order to discover and enjoy Argentine wines. But the most famous, and the first in this field, is the Gran Bar Danzon in Recoleta who provided you a huge range of wines, but ironically they don’t do wine tastings ! The Park Hyatt is also considered as a reference in the matter of wines. To enjoy a great Buenos Aires wine tasting, there are some organizations that provide this service, one of them is us. And of course, we will be glad here to provide you a quality wine tasting ;) However the best place to do real wine tourism is Mendoza: you can find there 108 wineries open to the public on the 168 that the country contains. You can find also some wineries in Salta and San Juan. The service provided in these wineries is generally a walking tour around the facilities with the explanations in Spanish or in English about how the winery works, ended by a wine tasting.According the bodegas de Argentina, in 2010 there were more than 1 million visits to wineries and 30% of their visitors were foreign. Most of these visitors come from United States, Brazil, Chile, England and France. Many of the visitors to Argentina are habitual wine drinkers. Habitual wine drinkers are people who make it their life to drink Argentine wine. Wine from Argentina is definitely habitual as there were so many people who drank it every day for so long. Then over time, these people came to Mendoza and started to make Malbec which is probably the best wine on earth.

Making Your Own Pesto

Author: admin - Categories: Other - Tags:

KitchenAid 5-Speed BlenderI love pasta with pesto sauce. It’s a fast and simple meal to make, but it’s so delicous that I eat it a couple of times each week. I usually purchase the pesto, but I recently decided to try to make my own, and it turned out amazing.

The are a few variations to pesto, but I tried to make the more traditional version – pesto alla genovese. This pesto contains basil, pine nuts, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and parmesan cheese. If you don’t have parmesan cheese, grana padano or pecorino works fine too. I used my KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender to blend the ingredients into a nice paste. After tasting I added some salt, black peppers and a little more olive oil to make it a little more liquid. It turned out so good that I will never buy pesto again!

I store my pesto in the fridge, and add some additional olive oil each time I use it in my pasta to extend the life span of the sauce.
